Přes příkaz archive je upgrade celkem easy, stačí stáhnout tar soubor z Cisco webu s novým IOS a vystavit si ho na tftp serveru. Další výhodou (mimo to, že je to easy) je, že touto metodou instaluji IOS včetně webu k cisco switch (i když on ten web není u těchto řad až taková výhra…)
